Jim Oates, CRJ Services

Knutsford-based CRJ Services, the fast-growing waste, recycling and forestry equipment solutions provider, has appointed Jim Oates as engineering manager, to help improve and streamline business efficiencies and support customer demand.

Jim brings a wealth of engineering knowledge and experience to the role, holding roles as a process engineer, service technician and machine installer over the past 35 years, having initially started his career as a tool room engineer. Most recently, Jim worked at Hadfield Wood Recyclers, where he was responsible for trebling performances levels.

Jim joins CRJ to further scale the firm, with the business reporting 128 per cent growth over the previous three years. On his appointment, Jim Oates said: “With CRJ continuing to grow both in the supply of equipment and the delivery of great customer service, I am determined to contribute to the ongoing success of the business.

“My immediate focus now is to transform the workshop processes - in much the same way as I did in my previous role - whilst ensuring that we provide the strength of support to our customers that the business’s values enforce.”

Jordan Saleh, CBRE

CBRE has appointed Jordan Saleh as head of Flex for the North to drive growth within this fast paced and evolving sector. This strategic, new role further bolsters CBRE’s investment across all areas of flex, acting for and advising occupiers, operators and investors.

Jordan joins from WeWork where he spent 5 years as sales director covering the northern region and brings a wide breadth of knowledge, expertise and client-base to provide CBRE with insight across the whole flex ecosystem.

Working nationally within CBRE’s super region structure, Jordan’s business development/occupier flex role will focus on developing, co-ordinating and managing opportunities throughout the UK. Jordan will work closely with Michael Glynn’s London Flex team to ‘supercharge’ the geographies flex offering and provide best in class advice to flex clients.

Tasked with building new relationships with fast growth and start up businesses across sectors, Jordan will help to drive revenue for the Northern business. Joe Rigby, CBRE’s head of office agency – North commented: “We are delighted to welcome Jordan to the team in this new role as we see rising demand in the UK flexible office space market.”

Jim Hartshorne, Paragon

Paragon, a leading technology-enabled business services group, has today announced the appointment of Jim Hartshorne as its new chief executive officer in the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg. Hartshorne joins Paragon from DHL Supply Chain, where he was most recently Managing Director for the retail and consumer sectors and a UKI board member.

In his new role, Hartshorne will oversee the continued growth and diversification of Paragon across the region’s seven business lines: Consulting and Agency; Customer Communications; Lead Supply; Supply Chain Management; Business Process Outsourcing; Workplace Solutions; and Print Solutions.

Hartshorne said: “I’m incredibly proud to have joined Paragon at such a pivotal point in the business’ journey as it repositions itself in the market. I believe that Paragon’s full potential is still to be unlocked as it scales, and I hope to leverage the skills I’ve gained from my time in the B2B service sector to accelerate its growth trajectory.

“My initial perception of Paragon was a business full of great people who are passionate about what they do, with clients that glow about the services it provides them. In fact, Paragon’s emphasis on understanding both its people and clients really stood out to me, as I fully believe in the mantra that if you look after your people, business performance will look after itself.

“As I get to know our clients and staff personally, my aim is to work with them to show the industry that Paragon is a leader and innovator across our full range of services, as well as the business lines it’s traditionally known for. I’m excited to work with the team to prove the wide-reaching expertise we have, evaluate where we want to be in the future, and how we get there.”
