This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes Honey, MD Law & Trident Building Consultancy. Read on to find out more.

**Keith Hague & Natalie Gibson, MD Law

Experienced litigator Keith Hague and solicitor Natalie Gibson have joined Sheffield’s MD Law as the firm continues its further expansion.

The niche firm, which acts for and advises insolvency professionals, businesses, and individuals across the country, has recruited Keith Hague into the Commercial Litigation Team working with MD Law’s dispute resolution partners Matt Dixon, Neil Kelly and Kelly Wharin.

Also joining the 16-strong team is Natalie Gibson, who prior to joining MD Law, gained work experience as a legal assistant in a union law firm, in addition to completing her training contract at a professional services firm in Sheffield.

MD Law partner Matthew Dixon, who set up the business eight years ago, said: “Our expanding firm needed strong, mid-tier, commercial litigation experience as we see an upward move towards decent value, interesting and involved cases in this area.

“We are now a team of 16 and our commercial clients often have other legal needs, so to strengthen the team means we can continue to provide our reputable legal services at a high professional level.”

Anne Bagshaw, Rebecca Vaughan, Luke Hewitt, James Peace & Mark Robinson, Honey

Sheffield-based housebuilder Honey has announced the appointment of its sales and build teams as the company prepares for ongoing growth.

Anne Bagshaw joins as sales and marketing director; Rebecca Vaughan has been appointed as sales advisor; Luke Hewitt has been hired as head of construction; James Peace as architectural manager; and Mark Robinson as site manager. With the exception of James Peace, who arrives from running his own architecture consultancy, the other four join from Avant Homes.

Welcoming the new starters to the business, Honey chief executive, Mark Mitchell, said: “I know from experience the capability and ambition of Anne, Rebecca, Luke, James and Mark, so I am very pleased they have joined Honey as we embark on our housebuilding journey.

“These latest hires mean we now have a complete management team across sales, build, technical, land, finance and commercial providing us with resources and skills we need to accelerate our growth plans. We have gone from one to 17 employees in seven months and expect to recruit more people during spring and summer in anticipation of us securing additional development sites.”

Jamie Clark, Declan Hard, Christian Watkins & Usmaan Mehboob, Trident Building Consultancy

Leading UK surveyor Trident Building Consultancy has made a quartet of promotions at its Leeds office.

Jamie Clark, formerly senior associate director, has been promoted to Director after heading up the office, which is based at Carlton Tower on St Paul’s Street. Jamie is joined by Declan Hard, Christian Watkins, and Usmaan Mehboob, who have all been promoted from senior building surveyors to principal building surveyors.

The move makes Trident’s Leeds office one of the most qualified teams of surveyors in the Yorkshire area. Christian Watkins is also one of just a small handful of fire consultancy specialist surveyors in the north of England, helping clients to remain compliant with the rapidly evolving statutory requirements and regulations.

Dan Roe, managing director of Trident Building Consultancy, congratulated Jamie, Declan, Christian, and Usmaan on their promotions. He said: “Yorkshire and the wider north of England is a very important region for Trident Building Consultancy as development across northern towns and cities continues to march forward at pace.

“We’ve made these promotions because Jamie, Declan, Christian, and Usmaan exhibit precisely these qualities. They contribute a huge amount to the business at large, and in the north in particular, and I’m delighted to be able to make these promotions in recognition of their hard work.”
