Law firm congratulates football club on success after working on Hollywood takeover
AN ESTEEMED law practice which has worked in partnership with Wrexham AFC for more than a decade congratulated the club on finally achieving its return to the Football League.
Mackenzie Jones Solicitors director Andrew Foley Jones is a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder of the Dragons and was in attendance at the Racecourse for the 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood, which saw them return to the English Football League after a 15-year absence.
The champions have called on Mackenzie Jones – based in St Asaph, Chester, and Menai Bridge – on numerous occasions, when it was supporter-trust owned, including representing the club when it was acquired by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2020.
Andrew, who along with co-director and fellow Wales fan Richard Jones attended the Qatar World Cup in December, wrote a book about the Reds’ rollercoaster journey – It’s Always Sunny in Wrexham – and was thrilled to see striker Paul Mullin and teammates edge Notts County to finish the season as table-toppers.
“As a company we have worked in partnership with Wrexham AFC for many years, representing the club when it was facing challenges off the pitch, through to the incredible era we are experiencing now,” he said.
“The arrival of Rob and Ryan changed everything, it has given the town of Wrexham as well as the wider region a real boost and as we have seen. The club is now known all over the world, with new fans joining its ranks by the day.”
Andrew added: “From a professional and personal perspective, I am so happy for the club, and all those who have stuck by it, having been through such turbulent times, they deserve every success on and off the pitch and we look forward to life in Division Two and a new chapter in the history of this great club!”
Mackenzie Jones is also enjoying a successful year, netting clients in multiple sectors, and taking on new staff to meet demand.
There are also plans for another office in the near future, following the company’s 21st birthday celebrations recently.
