Meg Whitehead, iSource Group

iSource Group, the IT, digital and change management recruitment specialist based in Leeds, has appointed Meg Whitehead as marketing and events manager.

Previously working as an events manager for Nomad Catering, Meg brings a wealth of experience to the role. In addition to supporting the marketing strategy for iSource Group, she will also take responsibility for associated business communities, the Yorkshire Mafia (YM) and Silicon Yorkshire.

Meg comments: “When I first heard about the role I was intrigued. Meeting with Geoff and hearing all about the ideas he has and what he hopes to achieve was all the encouragement I needed to want to be a part of this exciting journey.

“I am really looking forward to working with the team at iSG and to meeting with the members from the YM and also Silicon Yorkshire. There is already a lot to do, and I am looking forward to making the exciting plans that are in the pipeline a reality.

Managing director of iSG, Geoff Shepherd, comments: “Meg is a breath of fresh air. She comes with a great deal of experience and has already made a positive impression on the team and the communities. Liam Smith & John Rowland, Smith Brothers

Yorkshire-based high-voltage engineering and contracting firm Smith Brothers continues to expand its workforce with the appointment of a new operations manager.

The latest onboarding also coincides with promotions for existing colleagues too, with Liam Smith moving into the role of technical director.

Joining as operations manager, John Rowland who boasts an established and varied career in the industry will support on the delivery of all design projects, services, and infrastructure as well as orchestrating the day-to-day running of all site staff.

Having worked on a range of notable projects, including helping to deliver the Northern PowerGrid’s first-ever full Active Network Management (ANM), John brings decades of expertise to the business.

Commenting on John’s appointment, commercial director Dave Ogden said: “John joins the business as we continue to focus on building on our industry-leading engineering capabilities, and we look forward to him supporting the wider team with his vast experience and knowledge.”

Scott Latimer, Harron Homes

Leeds-based housebuilder Harron Homes has appointed a new Part Exchange Manager, Scott Latimer, who will oversee the delivery of Harron’s Part Exchange scheme for those customers looking to trade in their old houses for a brand new Harron home across Yorkshire.

Hailing from Newcastle, Scott brings to Harron Homes an extensive knowledge of the housing market from his previous experience as an estate agent.

“My previous role as an estate agent valuer provided me with a well-rounded idea of the property market; as Part Exchange Manager, I’m now on the other side of the process,” says Scott. “This first-hand knowledge has given me a great sense of perspective when determining the value of our customer’s property.”

One of Scott’s favourite parts of the job is that he is able to deliver excellent customer experience, aided by the rapid turnaround of the Part Exchange process:
