Opening looms for Bannatyne's newest gym

Take a look inside Just Fitness by Bannatyne Broadstairs as it gets ready to open its doors, creating up to 12 new jobs.

Landing at the former DW Fitness site on Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, the state-of-the-art equipment will be ready for the opening of the town’s newest gym on 1st July.

Staff have been on hand to take delivery of lorry loads of kit that will offer members the latest in fitness on the huge 20,000sq.ft gym floor.

In addition, two dedicated fitness studios will host an extensive range of group exercise classes, all included in the membership and the specialised group cycle studio will offer Les Mills RPM, THE TRIP and Sprint on demand.

Working in partnership with the world-leading group fitness brand Les Mills members will benefit from a whole range of fantastic exercise classes taught by Just Fitness professionals. Virtual Les Mills classes will also be available in the fitness studios for the ultimate convenience, with both scheduled and ‘on-demand’ slots available.

The Bannatyne Group already operates a health club and spa in Westwood, Broadstairs and existing members will have access to the new site as part of their membership package.

Duncan Bannatyne, chairman and chief executive of the Bannatyne Group said: “This is a real milestone in our journey to open Just Fitness by Bannatyne in Broadstairs.

“The gym is starting to come together and the team is working exceptionally hard to ensure everything is ready for the opening.

“There has been a real buzz about the gym and lots of interest. Broadstairs is growing, with more than 20,000 new homes planned. This investment demonstrates our confidence in the town and will provide a number of jobs for local people.”
