Cheri Burns, Encompass Corporation

Encompass Corporation, the leading provider of dynamic Know Your Customer (KYC) process automation, has appointed industry veteran Cheri Burns as PR & Corporate Communications Director to oversee media relations.

Burns will be responsible for the development and execution of Encompass’ global PR and communications strategy, including overseeing analyst and influencer relations with leading trade bodies and industry figures.

Prior to joining Encompass, Burns held key editorial positions at national newspapers including The Daily Record and The Herald, as well as BBC Sport Scotland, before managing the publications stream for the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.

Cheri commented: “Encompass has a crucial role to play in important global issues including the fight against financial crime and driving diversity and inclusion and development in the workplace, so I’m excited to continue to share our values and insights with the media.

Craig Dowsett, Evelyn Partners

Evelyn Partners, an integrated wealth management and professional services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Dowsett as a financial planning director in the firm’s London office.

Craig is a chartered financial planner and specialises in working with business owners and families in all areas of their business and personal financial planning. He joins Evelyn Partners from Vintage Wealth Management Limited where he spent more than seven years working as an independent financial adviser.

Prior to that he was a professional rugby player at Rotherham Titans RUFC and received representative honours for England Students Rugby, as well as full representative honours for Belgium.

Adam Osper, managing partner in Evelyn Partners’ London office, commented: “We are really excited to have Craig join our team. His track record of working with external professional connections developing plans for SMEs and owner managed businesses make him a great addition to the team.

Elizabeth Deeming, MVF

Elizabeth Deeming has been appointed as the new CEO of MVF, the London based global customer generation platform. Deeming joins MVF from Future plc where she was a member of the Executive Committee and led the B2B Media Division.

Deeming succeeds Michael Teixeira who is stepping down after 11 years with the business.

Deeming brings a wealth of experience across media, marketing and information companies and a proven track record of success in the industry with prior positions at Hyve Group plc, the FTSE-listed global events company, and Stylus Media Group, the privately-owned market research company as well as at Future plc.

Elizabeth commented: “I am delighted to take up the reins as the CEO of MVF. This is a new chapter for the business as we build upon MVF’s leading position in media and marketing services. I look forward to meeting our clients and 500 staff across our London and Austin offices in the coming weeks. “
