Ovenu Wakefield named among top 1% of UK businesses

Oven valeting service Ovenu Wakefield has been named the cathedral city’s Best Home Cleaning Service in the Quality Business Awards 2023.

Owner Richard Winter, who only took over the business four years ago, said the accolade reflected his commitment to providing a great service.

The Quality Business Awards acknowledge those businesses that consistently deliver a superior product or service and maintain a high standard of customer experience. It is presented to less than one per cent of UK businesses that have achieved an overall quality score of 95 per cent or more.

The father-of-one previously worked as an oven technician for two years for the former franchisee when an opportunity arose to take over the business in the summer of 2019.

He said: “I’d just got myself established when the pandemic struck. However, I’ve worked hard over the past few years so this award means a great deal as, ultimately, it’s based upon the quality ratings from my clients.”

In 2021, Ovenu Wakefield also earned a diamond award for customer service excellence from online ratings platform Trustist and currently enjoys a high level of repeat business.

Prior to joining Ovenu, Richard worked as an electrician for six years, later joining his family’s aquarium-building business.

I congratulate him on this well-deserved award and I’m sure Ovenu Wakefield will continue to go from strength to strength.”

As well as Wakefield, Richard also covers Dewsbury, Ossett, Horbury, Mirfield, Newmillerdam, Carlton, Lofthouse, Ardsley, Crigglestone, Flockton, Woolley and surrounding areas.
