Nathan Best, ClearCourse

ClearCourse, a provider of industry-specific software and payments for UK SMEs, announces the appointment of FinTech veteran Nathan Best as chief operating officer.

Nathan brings a wealth of experience and expertise in leading growth businesses, building high performing teams and always placing the voice of customers at the forefront of market-leading products and solutions. As chief operating officer, Nathan will oversee all commercial functions and guide the portfolio of businesses on industry best practices.

Nathan has over 20 years’ experience in the Banking and FinTech sectors, and joins from global SaaS platform, Xplor Technologies, where he led the UK and European business. Prior to this, Nathan held senior leadership positions at Travelex, Western Union and Link Group.

He has an impressive track record in driving successful Go-To-Market strategies with a strong focus on customer experience, product development, post-M&A integration and change management. Nathan will be based in London and joins the team with immediate effect.

Rachelle Frewer, LHV Bank

LHV Bank, a provider of banking services to global fintechs and SME lending solutions to UK businesses, announces the appointment of Rachelle Frewer as its incoming chief financial officer. Subject to regulatory approval, Rachelle will start her position on January 2 2024 and will also join the Board of Directors of LHV Bank.

Rachelle, an accomplished finance professional with over two decades of industry experience, joins from Moneycorp Bank, an internationally acclaimed currency exchange company, where she has served as the CFO and Board Member since June 2022. Before joining Moneycorp, Rachelle worked as a CFO at Wyelands Bank.

As an ACA-qualified and KPMG-trained accountant, Rachelle brings a wealth of experience from her time at various financial institutions, including C. Hoare & Co., Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC. Her areas of expertise encompass strategic planning and analysis, finance, treasury, operations, investor relations, and compliance.

Rachelle is also a member of the Finance, Assurance and Risk Committee at The Institute of Civil Engineers and a Board member of Paxton Management Company Limited.

Erki Kilu, CEO of LHV Bank, commented: “Rachelle will drive our financial strategy to support our business expansion, particularly as we increase our SME lending activities and prepare to start accepting retail deposits.”

Chloe Carmichael, Superdrug

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting shoppers through the cost-of-living crisis, beauty and health retailer Superdrug has announced the appointment of its new Cost-of-Living ambassador, deals expert and TV presenter Chloe Carmichael.

Chloe, who runs a 60,000+ strong online community Chloe’s Deal Club, will be working with the high street giant from July to September to raise awareness of incredible summer savings and the best value own brand products across key categories.

Chloe will be creating a mini-series of social media content to raise awareness of the very best savings, deals and promotions across key categories and everyday essentials including suncare, allergy, skincare and more.

Chloe commented: “I’ve always been a huge fan of the brand and how they put accessibility at the heart of everything they do, so to be able to spread the word about their incredible summer savings to my community at such an important time is something I’m really looking forward to.

“Having worked in the beauty industry before forming Chloe’s Deal Club, it’s an area I’m super passionate about, so this feels like the perfect fit!”
