Capita’s partnership with North Tyneside Council achieves accreditation
Capita’s partnership with North Tyneside Council has achieved Investor in People’s (IIP) gold level accreditation.
An assessment by IIP found “huge improvements” since Capita was awarded silver level accreditation in March 2020. This included: “a successful transition to working from home and now hybrid working, the development of career path frameworks and significant enhancements to wellbeing provision.”
There were also improvements in performance management, the numbers of people who had progressed their careers or gained additional qualifications, and the involvement of staff through focus groups and networks. IIP’s assessment was held during June and July 2023 and was informed by an IIP staff survey, interviews with 32 staff, and written evidence submitted by Capita,
Capita’s Acting partnership director Jonathan Ellis said: “We’re delighted to receive gold level accreditation.
“It’s amazing recognition for the whole team and reflects everyone’s collective contribution to making our North Tyneside Partnership a great place to work. We also welcome Investor in People’s help in identifying where we can improve and we’re committed to working on these areas.”
Capita entered into a partnership with North Tyneside Council in November 2012 and delivers a range of technical services: engineering, property and planning. There are more than 200 employees within the North Tyneside Partnership, which operates from Cobalt Business Park and Harvey Combe in Killingworth.
The partnership already holds Investors in People’s silver level ‘We invest in apprentices’ accreditation for its work to support apprentices, and the highest status of the North East Better Health at Work Award – Maintaining Excellence.
It has Advanced membership level of the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s Good Work Pledge, which recognises organisations that provide, or are working towards providing, ‘good work’.
