Lianne Mason, TAB

TAB, the real estate finance and investment house set to have a £500m loan book in 2024, has made its first specialist HR appointment. The firm has recruited Lianne Mason as its inaugural people manager, marking a significant moment in the company’s growth trajectory. This strategic recruitment underscores TAB’s commitment to cultivating an innovative culture and an outstanding workforce.

In recent months, TAB has seen substantial growth, increasing its team from 32 to 39 professionals. Lianne brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role joining from leading tech company Vizlib LTD., where the HR department supported over 150 members of staff.

Kerry Curtis, Total Fitness

Total Fitness, the leading health club brand in the North of England and Wales, has announced the appointment of Kerry Curtis as Brand Development Director, a first for the fitness sector.

As Head of Marketing, Kerry took responsibility for all communications channels where she was instrumental in driving the online joining contribution by over 200%, as well as leading her team to win UK Active’s Marketing Campaign of the Year in 2020. She also led the Covid-19 communications strategy for Total Fitness as well as the successful restoration of the business post pandemic.

Since beginning her new role as brand development director on the executive team, Kerry has seen Total Fitness announced as finalists for the Employer Brand Management Awards for ‘Best Alignment of the Employer Value Proposition with Corporate Brand Values’.

This new role is an indication of how Total Fitness plans to evolve, supporting its members to accomplish more than they thought possible on their fitness journey and ensuring that marketing insight and brand is at the centre of strategic decision making. Kerry will also be leading the development of an exciting new women’s fitness concept later this year.

Zoe Loo, Farleys Solicitors

North West law firm Farleys Solicitors has made an appointment to its corporate law team in Manchester, which will expand its offering across the region. Solicitor Zoe Loo has joined Farleys from the company and commercial department at a firm in Hertfordshire.

Zoe, a fluent Malay and Mandarin speaker, began her legal career in Malaysia before joining a firm in Singapore working in a family law department for three years. She moved to the UK in 2021 and passed the Qualified Lawyer Transfer Scheme on her first sitting.

She is able to assist with a wide variety of corporate and commercial law matters and takes a hands-on approach with corporate transactions, group restructures, commercial and business contracts, terms and conditions, share buybacks and share transfers, shareholders agreements and articles of association, company start-ups and formations.

Zoe commented, “I am thrilled to be here and have been made to feel so welcome by everyone at Farleys. I look forward to continuing to learn and working closely with my new colleagues.”
