Darush Dodds & Imran Anwar, Middlesbrough College Group

Darush Dodds and Imran Anwar bring a wealth of experience in business, civic and community work to the governing body. Darush is the director of corporate affairs at well-known North of England construction company Esh Group.

A graduate of Northumbria University, Darush has worked at Esh Group since 2007, during which time the company has won a national Business in the Community UBS Education Partnership Award and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Promoting Opportunity & Social Mobility.

With over 15-years’ experience in the delivery of education, employment, engagement and economic programmes, Darush is currently the chair of the North East Institute of Technology’s (NEIoT) Construction & Built Environment Board.

Imran Anwar is the CEO and founder of award-winning Middlesbrough-based company Alt Labs. A former Stockton Sixth Form student, Imran worked as a project manager at Leeds Bradford Airport and as an innovation consultant at London Midland and Govia Thameslink Railway before starting up Alt Labs in 2017.

Middlesbrough College Group principal and chief executive, Zoe Lewis, said: “We are delighted to welcome Darush and Imran on to our governing body. Their combined experience, knowledge and commitment will be of great benefit to the college and to our students over the coming years and it is terrific to have them on board.”

Jo Atkinson, eQuality Solutions Group

National diversity, equity and inclusion specialist, eQuality Solutions Group (eQS), has appointed its first-ever head of recruitment services to help businesses diversify their teams and people from underrepresented groups, find their ideal career.

Head of recruitment services, Jo Atkinson, will manage eQS’ new inclusive recruitment provision, which will complement its current range of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) solutions delivered by its seven companies across the UK.

Jo joins eQS with 23 years’ experience in recruitment and operations management across a variety of highly regulated industries including start-ups, SMEs, multinationals, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) providers and being self-employed, both in the UK and the Middle East.

Head of recruitment services, Jo Atkinson, said: “This opportunity really stood out to me because matching diverse talent to inclusive career opportunities will positively change lives and impact businesses for the better.

George Galloway, razorblue

A leading managed service provider which works with over 500 companies across the UK and has consistently grown significantly year-on-year, has created a new role as part of its ongoing ambitious plans – Head of New Business.

North East headquartered razorblue, which boasts seven offices a team of over 180 people, has welcomed George Galloway to the team, an experienced commercial director with over 37 years in the industry, tasked with developing and deploying new sales strategies and initiatives that ensure razorblue continues to be recognised as a leading managed services, cloud and cyber security provider in the UK.

George said: “I’m excited to join the team at razorblue and play a part in its continued success.

“I have an in-depth knowledge of public and private sector tender frameworks at all levels which is something I am looking forward to focusing on here at razorblue, but most of all, I’m excited to help onboard new clients and see their continued success being supported by our strategic IT support and managed services.”
