Newcastle law firm commits to North East with seven-figure HSBC UK funding
One of the largest law firms in the North East is refurbishing its Newcastle headquarters thanks to a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK.
Sintons LLP is using the funding to transform its 25,000 sq ft office over 4 floors into a modern working environment which meets the firm’s evolving business needs.
In its first major refurbishment in 20 years, work has begun on its office on its Barrack Road premises to incorporate a floor dedicated to client services, with its own business lounge, as well as a space for client training seminars, which were previously held off-site.
The new setup is intended to promote collaboration and provide a more flexible working environment as the firm continues to grow.
Chris Welch, Managing Partner of Sintons LLP, commented: “As our talent and expertise are called upon by organisations across the UK, we’re proud to service our clients from our base here in Newcastle.
“The office refurbishment will go a long way in improving the way that both colleagues and clients can work and collaborate in the office, but it’s also about cementing our place in the North East.
“This investment reflects our commitment to our roots and workforce here in Newcastle as we future-proof our headquarters whilst at the same time continuing our growth across all areas of the UK.”
Sintons’ renovations are taking place one floor at a time to allow staff to continue working in the office while the remodelling is underway.
Ben Foster, Relationship Director at HSBC UK, added: “Sintons is a strong example of a successful business which remains dedicated to its regional roots while growing its business across the country. We’re pleased to be supporting its ongoing work and look forward to seeing these great floor plans come to life.”
Established in 1896, Sintons LLP is a full-service law firm based in Newcastle with consulting offices in London, York and Leeds. Today, over 120 lawyers work for the firm which is named by Legal 500 as one of the key law firms in the North.
