The Ark in Basford bolsters team with seven new support workers
The Ark in Basford near Nottingham, part of Salutem Care and Education, has welcomed seven new support workers to its growing team. This significant addition comes in response to the demand for The Ark's specialised services, which offer day opportunities to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The Ark is renowned for its commitment to supporting adults with profound and multiple learning and physical disabilities, providing a nurturing and empowering environment for its service users. The new team members come with varying degrees of experience, some with years of working in care and nursing and others new to the sector, but they all have been selected for their values and ethos, which align with the service and Salutem as a whole.
Grace Radford, the service manager at The Ark, expressed her enthusiasm about the new hires: "We've received some absolutely wonderful feedback, both about, and from, our new starters. It's heartening to see individuals so perfectly suited to their roles, seamlessly integrating into our team. We're confident that this marks the beginning of long and fulfilling careers with The Ark and Salutem."
The successful recruitment drive has filled all vacant positions at The Ark, highlighting the organisation's proactive approach to meeting the needs of the people we support. Looking ahead, The Ark anticipates a further increase in demand for its services, especially with many young adults seeking support after turning 18 in the summer.
"We are fully staffed at the moment, but we are always looking to the future. With the expected increase in demand, we hope to open our doors to more passionate individuals who are eager to make a difference," added Grace "Stay tuned for future opportunities to join our dedicated team.
