National awards for two Exeter men

Two colleagues have been honoured with prestigious Vertu Motors plc 2023 CEO Management Awards.

Anthony Pearson, who works at Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Exeter and Ben Williamson, from Vertu Volvo Exeter, have been named Sales Manager of the Year and Service Manager of the Year.

The awards acknowledge colleagues who have performed exceptionally well and delivered the highest levels of leadership throughout the year.

Nominations are made by Operational Directors to the plc Board, which selects the winner of each category.

Like all the winners, Anthony and Ben received a phone call from the Chief Executive, Robert Forrester, to congratulate them on the achievement, to thank them for their commitment to delivering for results for the business, and for the work they have undertaken throughout the year.

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors plc, said: “Both Anthony and Ben are very worthy of their awards.  They exemplify our Values and I am delighted we have been able to recognise their talent, hard work and dedication.”

Anthony Pearson said: “I am honoured to have won this award, which is testament to the hard work of all my colleagues and I thank them, and Vertu Motors for this recognition.”

Ben Williamson said: “Since becoming part of Vertu Motors I have been so impressed with my team and they deserve credit for some outstanding work, I am proud to represent them.”

Anthony’s nomination said that ‘we were impressed with his enthusiasm, positivity and professionalism in relation to how he was leading the team in a period of change.’

Ben’s noted that ‘Ben is an outstanding leader of his team, highly regarded by all Volvo colleagues and representatives from the brand.’

Vertu Motors plc acquired 28 franchised sales outlets, including Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Exeter and Vertu Volvo Exeter from Helston Garages Group in December.
