Grant Thornton secures senior appointment in the North West to continue focus on growth
Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has appointed Nick Sands as a Relationship Director in its rapidly growing North West practice.
Nick joins Grant Thornton’s North West team following 20 years with Deloitte in a variety of business development roles, the last four leading the relationship development focus across the Northern and Scotland M&A business.
Based in Manchester, Nick will lead Grant Thornton’s relationship building activity with businesses in the North West.
He joins Grant Thronton’s expanding team of regional Relationship Directors, following other recent senior appointments in Birmingham and Leeds. Further senior hires in Relationship Director roles are planned in other key regions in the coming months as part of the firm’s focus on growth.
Nick Sands, Relationship Director at Grant Thornton UK LLP, said: “Making a move after such a long time with my previous employer, it was important for me to join a firm with a great culture, breadth of services, quality people and focus on growth in the North West, and that’s exactly what I have found with Grant Thornton.”
Mick Frankish, Managing Partner and Practice Lead at Grant Thornton UK LLP in the North West said: “Nick comes with a track record of building strong client relationships and winning work. We have ambitious growth targets across all of our businesses and Nick will play a key part in executing that growth strategy in the North West. We are delighted to have him on board.”
