Perspective expands with four takeovers
A financial advisory and wealth management firm has expanded with four takeovers.
Perspective Financial Group has bought Ipswich’s Clayden Financial Planning and PW White & Partners, in Amersham.
It has also acquired Darlington’s Constellation Financial Solutions and the client book of a longstanding self-employed adviser based in Perspective’s Newcastle office.
Bosses say the deals add about £350 million assets under advice to the group’s portfolio, as well as 940 client households, 20 staff and two offices in Ipswich and Amersham, the latter creating a third Perspective base in Buckinghamshire.
The agreements mean Perspective – which complements its Newcastle base with further North East sites in Darlington, Hexham and Harrogate, North Yorkshire – has completed 15 takeovers this year and 93 since its foundation 16 years ago.
Ian Wilkinson, Perspective chief executive, said: “These four acquisitions further demonstrate the range of deal structures we can offer to client-centric vendors, tailored to their individual requirements and timelines.”
Under the terms of its deal, Clayden Financial Planning has become Perspective (Clayden Financial).
Leigh Clayden, the company’s founder and director, said: “After 30 years of providing financial advice, I wanted to make sure my staff and clients would be looked after when I decided to retire from the financial services industry.
“It was important to me to find an acquirer who had the same professionalism, same culture, ethos and ethics as myself.
“When I met with Ian and his team at Perspective, they provided me with the confidence that they would meet all my criteria and provide my staff and clients with the best place for their long-term future needs and requirements.”
