Law firm Sintons builds team with new hires

Newcastle-based law firm Sintons has strengthened its construction and engineering legal team with several appointments and promotions in 2024.

Senior associate Sara Morgan joined in June, bringing over 16 years of experience in non-contentious and transactional law.

Sara now works alongside head of department Alex Rayner, partner Graeme Ritzema, newly promoted associate Jay Balmer, and Lucy Milnthorp, a newly qualified solicitor who completed her training at Sintons in September.

The team provides national legal support to prominent clients, including Greggs and London-based contractor Jerram Falkus, offering expertise in projects including large-scale construction, refurbishment and logistics facilities.

Sintons’ specialists are consistently recognised for their legal and commercial insight by independent rankings, including the Legal 500, which has described the team as being ‘both legally and commercially focussed’ and having ‘clear solutions and strategies’.

Alex said: “The strength and depth of knowledge we have within the team at all levels means that we have the expertise to support our clients with any aspect of their projects, and this is reflected in the calibre of work and clients that continue to instruct us.

“Our clients stay with us for the long term because of the relationships we have built with them.

“We like to get to know and understand their business so that we can provide the most commercially focussed advice possible and they know every one of us, from trainees through to partners, is committed to getting the best possible results for them.

“We have ambitions to continue growing the team this year and beyond.

“We will continue to take the opportunity to recruit high quality candidates at all levels where possible.”
