Gordons celebrates strong year of growth
A regional law firm has achieved significant financial growth, driven by increased client instructions and a strong performance across key practice areas.
Leeds-based Gordons LLP has announced a 14 per cent rise in net profit to £12.1m for the year ended 31 March 2024, alongside a six per cent increase in annual revenue to £22.3m, achieved in part via new client acquisition, including Zoopla parent company Houseful.
The corporate and commercial team led the charge with a 20 per cent turnover boost, while the employment practice grew 14 per cent.
The firm, which recently announced the promotions of Catherine Woodward and Simon Tingle to partner and has a client list which includes the likes of Iceland Foods, Morrisons, Ocado Retail, Wren Kitchens and parcel delivery business Evri, rewarded all employees with a payment equal to five per cent of their annual salary and has reported a promising 12 per cent year-on-year turnover growth for the first half of the current financial year.
Victoria Davey, Gordons managing partner, said: “Our continued success is based on building trusted and enduring client relationships underpinned by strong financial management.
“These results demonstrate the effectiveness of our distinct ability to think and act entrepreneurially on behalf of our clients. This approach sets Gordons apart.”
