Council extends partnership to advance digital transformation
Dudley Council has extended its partnership with ArvatoConnect in a renewed commitment to streamline operations through digital automation.
The local authority for the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in the West Midlands has contracted ArvatoConnect to implement and manage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) licenses for a further three years and build on its successful collaboration.
ArvatoConnect, which is a division of Bertelsmann, employs around 800 people in the UK and is headquartered in Datchet, with offices in Newcastle, Swansea, and Willerby near Hull.
The new contract extension underscores the significant progress achieved in automating routine processes, allowing council employees to focus on value-driven services for the community.
Leaders say ArvatoConnect’s enhanced RPA solutions will continue to empower Dudley Council with tools to increase efficiency, deliver faster responses, and drive measurable service improvements.
Councillor Phil Atkins, cabinet member for corporate strategy at Dudley Council, said: “We look forward to continuing to work with ArvatoConnect as a trusted partner in our journey toward digital transformation. This partnership not only brings efficiency to our operations, but also supports our mission to improve services for the community.”
Debra Maxwell, ArvatoConnect chief executive, added: “We’re excited to continue our work with Dudley Council, providing them with the digital tools and support needed to further their transformation journey.
“Through our shared focus on efficiency and enhanced public service, we aim to help Dudley Council make a lasting, positive impact for its residents.”
ArvatoConnect’s automation solutions, for a comparable collaboration with Hertfordshire County Council, have enabled 87 per cent of invoices to be processed entirely through automation, resulting in a 50 per cent increase in processing speed compared to manual methods and boosting employee satisfaction.
The extended partnership aligns with Dudley Council’s commitment to modernising services and demonstrates the value of scalable, strategic automation in the public sector.
ArvatoConnect provides a wide range of services to residents, including planning, council tax administration, waste management, housing, and community development.
