Kirstie Allerton, managing partner for DLA Piper's Leeds office

DLA Piper appoints new Leeds managing partner

Global law firm DLA Piper has named Kirstie Allerton as the new office managing partner for its Leeds office.

Kirstie takes over from Andrew Dyson, who becomes the firm’s UK country managing partner.

Kirstie, a finance lawyer specialising in real estate sector financing, joined DLA Piper in 2001, became a partner in 2013, and has led the Leeds Finance practice since 2015. She has also overseen the office’s charitable and pro bono initiatives.

Kirstie said: “Being appointed as office managing partner is a great honour and I am looking forward to getting started in continuing to develop our presence in this exciting region of the UK.

“I would like to thank all my partners and colleagues who trust me to guide our Leeds offering over my term, and Andrew for his continued guidance and support.

“Over the coming weeks, I will be setting out my strategy to build on the strong platform we have in Leeds, and I look forward to welcoming our people to our new office in City Square House.”

Her appointment coincides with DLA Piper’s upcoming move to City Square House, one of Leeds’ most advanced and sustainable office developments.

Andrew added: “I've had the pleasure of working with Kirstie for a number of years, and I am confident that as we enter our new home in the city, Kirstie will bring her dedication and experience to the role, and support the office through its next phase of growth.”
