Festive support delivers cheer to families
Hundreds of families are set to receive a festive boost this Christmas thanks to a generous donation of toys, gifts, and vouchers aimed at easing seasonal financial pressures.
Through the Unlocking Social Value programme by Karbon Homes, suppliers and contractors including RE:GEN, Isoler, Potts Print and Springs Roofing have donated a variety of items matched to households across the region.
The initiative provides vital support during a challenging time for many, as rising costs impact household budgets.
Recent research from Skipton Building Society highlights the strain, revealing that one in four British households rely on donations or financial help over the festive period, with many experiencing heightened anxiety during the season.
Jess Alexander, social value coordinator at Karbon Homes, said: “With another year of soaring prices, this generous donation of gifts and vouchers from our contractors will make a huge difference to lots of families, particularly those who are really feeling the pinch this season.
“With the help of our housing colleagues, we’re spreading these donations even further across our geography this year. It’s a fantastic example of the impact we can have working in partnership with our contractors and suppliers.”
Paul Moralee, community investment manager at Karbon Homes, added: “We’re committed to supporting our customers in the run up to Christmas and we’re proud to have built strong partnerships with our contractors and suppliers, as well as charities and projects in our communities, that help make that support possible.
“It’s an important part of our mission as an organisation, to help shape strong sustainable communities where our residents can thrive.”
