LCF Law announces 11 promotions
Yorkshire-based law firm LCF Law has promoted 11 team members, recognising their contributions and commitment to the business.
Andrew Langton and Hana Gwyn have been elevated to partners. Andrew, who leads the debt recovery team, has been with the firm since 2014 and has overseen a 15-fold increase in turnover. His efforts have positioned LCF Law as a nationwide leader in the commercial debt market. Hana, part of the 29-strong personal law team, joined in 2020 and specialises in high-net-worth client work, asset protection and tax planning. She will now lead the Harrogate-based personal law team.
Andrew said: “We offer clients a debtor funded recovery service, which can be invaluable for their business.
“We work with great people and great businesses, and I’m lucky to be a part of such a fabulous team at LCF Law supporting them to develop and grow in their careers.”
Hana added: “LCF Law has allowed me to grow in my own way, putting its confidence in me to do what I’m good at and supporting me to pursue an area of the law I’m passionate about.
“Building long-term relationships with clients and working with other trusted advisers to ensure clients feel comfortable and knowledgeable about the future and mitigating any issues along the way is very rewarding.”
Kelly Gilbert and Will Bates, from the disputes team, and corporate lawyer Brad Stewart have been promoted to senior associates. Kelly joined just a year ago and recently resolved a multi-jurisdictional estate dispute worth million, while Will, who joined in 2022, recently defended a High Court application in London. Brad, with seven years at the firm, specialises in advising clients on business sales across various industries.
Emily Hickling and Ryan Cotton, both from the real estate team, along with Thomas Taylor in the commercial and digital law team, have been promoted to associates. Emily supports international charity clients, while Ryan focuses on property projects for national and international charities. Thomas joined in 2020 and advises on commercial and digital law matters.
Finally, Holly Jordan, Jonathan Gardner, and Melanie Parsons have been promoted to solicitors after completing their legal qualifications ahead of schedule.
These promotions reflect LCF Law’s ongoing commitment to developing talent and delivering high-quality legal services.
Ragan Montgomery, LCF Law’s managing partner, added: “We really appreciate what Andrew, Hana, Kelly, Will, Brad, Emily, Ryan, Thomas, Holly, Jonathan and Melanie bring to the business. Talented, dedicated and passionate about the areas of law they operate in, each one of them really does deserve their promotion.
“At LCF Law we are firmly committed to supporting career progression and a number of our partners started at the firm as trainees.
“Having been named as one of the UK’s best places to work in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list of medium sized companies last year, we know our 145-strong team are happy and feel rewarded for their work and we are committed to helping them all achieve their own personal goals, whilst delivering excellent client service.”
