Hull charity expands with Quickline partnership
A Hull-based educational charity is set to extend its unique approach to teaching south of the Humber thanks to a new partnership with a rural broadband provider.
Run With It, which supports learners struggling in traditional classroom settings, has announced a three-year deal with Quickline Communications. This builds on the £10,935 donation the charity received from The Funding Network earlier this year.
The partnership will fund the charity’s expansion into Lincolnshire, including North and North East Lincolnshire, broadening its reach beyond its existing sites in Hull, Beverley, Bridlington and East Hull.
The charity uses non-traditional teaching environments such as football stadiums, shopping centres and entertainment venues to inspire and engage learners, helping “create opportunities that make a real difference”.
Its Lincolnshire operations will include partnerships with Humberside Airport, Hampton by Hilton, Eastern Airlines, and Scunthorpe and Grimsby’s community football teams.
Lisa Dawson, director of Run With It, said: “It’s always been our intention to grow the charity into new regions and create more opportunities for young people.
“Our partnership with Quickline will allow us to do exactly that.
“We’ll be providing our incredibly popular Enrichment Days alongside our 10-week intervention programmes with funding available to schools.
“We want to help improve literacy and numeracy across the board because that, in turn, improves key work-based skills, raises confidence and instils much-needed self-belief.
“We have had such a positive response from local partners in North and North East Lincolnshire, we can’t wait to get started.”
“I’m all about partnerships because far more young people will benefit. The funding from Quickline means we are bringing money to the region.
“We just need help introducing us to schools and educational groups, opening those doors so that as many young people as possible can access our programmes.”
Quickline’s involvement is part of its social value commitment under Project Gigabit, a government-funded initiative to deliver gigabit-capable broadband to remote areas.
Rachel Bowerman from Quickline, who specialise in bringing broadband to hard-to-reach, rural communities across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, added: “At Quickline, we believe in creating opportunities that make a real difference to the communities we serve.
“Supporting Run With It aligns perfectly with our commitment to social value, as they bring innovative and exciting ways of learning to children.
“By taking education beyond the classroom, they’re inspiring young minds and unlocking potential, which resonates with our mission to connect people to a world of possibilities.”
