Sheffield’s iconic venues enter 'exciting chapter'

Sheffield is set to benefit from significant investment in two of its entertainment venues.

Utilita Arena Sheffield and Sheffield City Hall have joined venue management powerhouse ASM Global, marking the start of a transformative chapter that will “future-proof” both venues.

ASM Global, in partnership with Sheffield City Council, is spearheading significant upgrades to the facilities, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the global entertainment scene.

Utilita Arena will undergo a reimagination as a world-class touring destination, while Sheffield City Hall will see enhancements that honour its prestigious heritage.

Work at Utilita Arena will begin this month, focusing on improving the fan experience. Upgrades include enhanced concourses, a revamped food and beverage offering and innovations including Boxbar, an automated self-serve drinks system. 

The venue will also see capacity increases, upgraded backstage areas and premium spaces such as new supersuites and lounges.

Sheffield City Hall’s improvements will emphasise better customer journeys, with upgraded signage, more tills and enhanced food and beverage services, ensuring the venue stays true to its cultural significance while offering modern conveniences.

With ASM Global’s expertise, both venues are set to host a packed calendar of world-class events, promising “unforgettable experiences” for fans and artists alike.
