Hicomply strengthens cybersecurity community
A Durham-based software company has joined forces with a North East cybersecurity cluster to enhance digital security and collaboration.
Hicomply, a provider of advanced Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) software, has partnered with CyberNorth to help build the North East’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
The collaboration aligns Hicomply’s expertise in compliance solutions with CyberNorth’s mission to develop the region’s cybersecurity community and create an “inclusive ecosystem” and a “safer place to do business”.
Founded in 2019, Hicomply helps businesses automate and simplify compliance with global standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
Ed Bartlett, Hicomply chief executive, said: “Being part of the CyberNorth community provides us with access to a vibrant network of cybersecurity experts and opportunities that align with our mission to create a secure, globally connected business ecosystem.
“We believe no business should be excluded from markets due to unsecure data.
“Through CyberNorth's regional, national and global reach, we are even closer to making this vision a reality.
“We’ve already benefited from this partnership, not just from the collective knowledge within the community but also through new business connections, including partnerships with HTG, Net Defence and Waterstons."
CyberNorth, recognised by the National Cyber Security Centre, focuses on skills, innovation and ecosystem growth, helping to position the North East as a leader in the cybersecurity sector while contributing to the UK’s national cyber strategy through its partnership with UKC3.
Danielle Phillips, CyberNorth chief executive, added: “We are excited to welcome Hicomply as a partner to our growing cyber security network.
“Hicomply brings something truly unique to the market, and their understanding of how to engage and collaborate within a network is exactly what we look for in our partners.
“They are not passive participants; they actively contribute to the strength of our community, helping us build a safer place to do business and create an inclusive ecosystem where businesses of all sizes can thrive without being hindered by data insecurity.”
