Estate agency writes new chapter with first office
A family-run estate agent and mortgage consultancy has launched its first high street branch after securing six-figure support.
Chapters has opened an office in Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax.
The move comes after the business rebranded from Wainhouse Properties and Woodhall Mortgages.
Co-founder Chris Flanagan said the venture – which also provides conveyancing, life insurance, financial planning and will writing support, and is working out of a former barber’s shop on Sowerby Bridge’s Wharf Street – represents the “first of many ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond”.
He added: “The high street launch is the result of months of planning.
“We see a real opportunity for growth across Calderdale and the wider area.”
Alongside Chris and fellow co-founder Luke Flanagan, the Chapters team includes financial advisor Joanne Flanagan, estate agent Beckie Parkinson, mortgage advisor Jamie Hollingworth, protection advisor Lorraine Trouve and will writer Lee Major.
Joanne added: “We really care about the outcomes we get for clients and how we can best support them.
“Having worked with lots of clients in and around Sowerby Bridge and the wider Calderdale area prior to launching Chapters, we couldn’t think of a more suitable place to launch onto the high street as we chase our ambitious growth plans.”
