Mincoffs expands employment team
Mincoffs Solicitors has strengthened its employment department with the appointment of solicitor Hannah MacLeod, as the firm continues its expansion.
Hannah joins the Newcastle-based firm following her training contract at Doncaster Council, where she gained experience in litigation, employment, childcare, property and contracts.
She will work alongside partner Nick Smith, solicitor Laura Liddle and trainee solicitor Jenny Luke to support clients with a variety of employment matters.
Originally from Nottinghamshire, Hannah is looking forward to building her own caseload and contributing to Mincoffs’ growing employment practice.
She said: “I was keen to relocate to Newcastle once I finished my training contract and Mincoffs really stood out to me as a commercially minded firm.
“It was important to me to join a firm where I would be able to make an active contribution to the team’s success and I was particularly drawn to Mincoffs’ strong commitment to ESG principles.
“Everyone at Mincoffs has been incredibly welcoming and it has been great to hit the ground running, meeting clients and starting work on some key matters.”
Her appointment marks the latest addition to the firm, which has welcomed 16 new staff over the past year during a period of continued growth.
Nick Smith, partner and head of employment, added: “In the short time Hannah has been at the firm, she has already proved to be an asset to the employment team.
“We have a wide variety of clients at Mincoffs, ranging from private individuals to multi-national businesses, and the rounded experience Hannah gained training at a local authority will be incredibly useful as she begins to build her own caseload.
“It was clear from her interview that Hannah would be a great fit at the firm, and we look forward to helping her develop her knowledge and skills within employment law.”
