RW Joinery expands Doorassure team
Stockport-based RW Joinery has strengthened its Doorassure division with three new hires as demand for fire door maintenance and compliance support continues to grow.
Vincent Wong joins as a quantity surveyor, bringing experience from ISG, Jamiesons and TSK Group. Raymond Ng, with a background in project management and fit-out for major brands including LVMH, Kingsmen HK Ltd and IKEA, joins the estimating department.
Meanwhile, Katherine Penrose starts her career as a business development associate, supporting the sales and marketing team after completing a BA Honours Degree in history from the University of York.
RW Joinery launched Doorassure earlier this year to meet rising demand for fire door maintenance in critical sectors.
The division has highlighted that while 85 per cent of fire doors inspected fail to meet legal standards, 75 per cent of those could be repaired rather than replaced.
Sally Robinson, director of RW Joinery and Doorassure, said: “Changing legislation means clients are responsible for the integrity and performance of their doors and the risk associated with non-performance and compliance.
“With the correct maintenance, internal doorsets should last a lifetime, not the short time they are under warranty.
“Doorassure’s continued growth reflects our ability to meet that need, educate the supply chain and help customers manage the lifetime responsibility of their doors.
“We are already on target to achieve our first-year revenue target of £5 million in new business.
“Having established ourselves on numerous frameworks and winning significant projects with NHS and university sites nationwide, we’re seeing strong demand for turnkey fire door support.
“Vincent, Raymond and Katherine join the business at an exciting time and we welcome them to the team.”
