Airport expands careers fair due to soaring demand
Newcastle International Airport has increased capacity for its upcoming careers fair after strong public interest in more than 500 job opportunities across the site.
The award-winning airport, which was crowned ‘best in the world’ at the World Routes Conference, is recruiting for a wide range of roles, from customer service and airfield operations to security and engineering.
Its careers fair will be held at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park, in collaboration with the Newcastle United Foundation, on Wednesday 29 January, featuring major employers including Jet2.com, Boots, WHSmith, Europcar, World Duty Free and Apsire.
Jobseekers can explore full-time part-time, and entry-level positions, with opportunities in retail, hospitality and airport operations.
Nick Jones, chief executive at Newcastle Airport, said: "2025 promises to be an exciting year for Newcastle Airport as we welcome new airline partners and continue to grow our route network, providing vital connectivity for the North East region.
“Alongside our business partners, we are looking to grow our teams with a wide variety of roles available that cater for many different skill sets.
“Newcastle Airport is a fantastic place to work, and we look forward to welcoming anyone who is looking for employment or simply wants a new challenge to our careers fair.”
