McCormicks Solicitors strengthens rugby expertise

McCormicks Solicitors, renowned for its national and international Sports Law practice, has further extended its expertise in Rugby Union with Lana Wilks selected to sit on the RFU Disciplinary Panel.

Lana, who joined the Harrogate-based firm as a trainee solicitor, will work alongside partner David Birks and solicitor Anmol Roth in the Sports Law and Commercial Litigation team.

A qualified referee, former professional women’s rugby player and published legal writer, Lana holds a Law degree from the University of York and is currently completing a Master’s in Law at The University of Law, set to qualify as a solicitor in 2026.

Her appointment follows a successful application to the England RFU Disciplinary Panel, a move actively encouraged by the firm to support her career development in sports law.
