WJM promotes planning specialist

Glasgow-based law firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP has promoted Amy Howard to senior associate.

Amy, a renewable energy planning specialist, joined WJM as a trainee in 2017 and has progressed rapidly within the firm’s planning team.

Based at the St Vincent Plaza office, she has become a key member of the team, advising on major projects across the sector.

Fraser Gillies, managing partner at WJM, who also sits on the planning team, said: “This is yet another well-deservedpromotion for Amy as she continues to demonstrate her skill and talent.

“She is a valuable part of our team and another excellent example of the firm developing talent from within as we strive to grow together moving through 2025.

“Amy has become a trusted go-to member of the team for many of our key clients and a great help to Nicola Martin and I as the team grows, during what is a busy time in the sector.

“She is also developing her own profile in the industry, as well as doing a great job looking after some very significant and complex pieces of work for our wind farm developer client base, and her promotion is very well deserved.

“I would like to wish Amy all the very best of luck in her new role and have absolutely no doubts she’ll be able to rise to the occasion.”
