Lupton Fawcett expands team with three hires

Yorkshire law firm Lupton Fawcett has strengthened its private client, family and debt recovery teams with three new appointments as it heads into 2025.

Edward Allen joins as a partner in the private client team, based in the firm’s York office.

A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Edward specialises in estate planning, trusts and inheritance tax matters, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, business owners and farming families.

Edward said: “I pride myself on being able to deliver practical solutions to clients’ estate planning needs, providing bespoke advice in a straightforward and understandable manner.”

Sally Hirst joins the family team as a solicitor, bringing experience in family law, financial proceedings and child abuse compensation cases.

Sally added: “Family law is a rewarding area to work in and I feel passionate about helping clients that are going through some of the most stressful times of their lives.

“I am delighted to be joining the Lupton Fawcett team.”

Meanwhile, Thomas Rudd has been appointed as a debt recovery executive, with expertise in litigation and commercial debt recovery as he works towards his CILEX qualification.

Thomas added: “I am excited to see what new challenges Lupton Fawcett will bring and to get involved in the progression of debt recovery matters.”

These latest hires follow two other recent appointments as Lupton Fawcett continues to expand its legal services across Yorkshire.

James Richardson, managing partner, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Edward, Sally and Thomas to Lupton Fawcett and are now prepared for a strong performance in the coming year and beyond.

“We are in an excellent position to deliver the best results for our clients across all our areas of practice and we are looking forward to a very successful 2025.”
