Mincoffs tops deal rankings for second year
A Newcastle-based law firm has retained its position as the North East’s most active deal adviser, according to an industry report.
Mincoffs Solicitors secured the top spot in the Experian Market IQ M&A Review FY24, completing 57 qualifying deals over the year.
The firm has also been recognised as the region’s top deal adviser in each of Experian’s quarterly reports for the past two years.
To support growing client demand, the corporate and commercial department has expanded, welcoming solicitors Connie Lu and Olly Moore, as well as paralegal Holly Kirk, with bosses saying further recruitment is planned to deal with “a strong pipeline” of work.
Paul Hughes, senior partner and head of the department, said: “This result is one we are incredibly proud of, and it is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team who work tirelessly for our clients.
“We continue to see significant deal activity across the region and further afield, and we have a strong pipeline in the coming months."
Mincoffs, which has operated for more than 75 years and also offers real estate, dispute resolution, employment law and private client services, also recently announced that it would be sponsoring former Newcastle Falcons’ scrum half Michael Young’s testimonial year.
