 
    Colmans casts net wider with Fenwick partnership
A fish and chip institution is expanding into Newcastle city centre as two historic family businesses join forces.
Colmans Fish and Chips is set to open at Fenwick Newcastle on March 20, bringing its award-winning seafood to the iconic department store.
Established in South Shields in 1905, Colmans has built a loyal following, attracting both locals and celebrities such as Gavin & Stacey star James Corden to the family’s Ocean Road restaurant.
The new restaurant, located on the first floor at Fenwick, will serve up its signature dishes alongside Fenwick’s acclaimed food offering, marking the first time the Colmans brand has ventured north of the Tyne.
Richard Colman, director at Colmans Fish and Chips, said: “Just like fish and chips, Fenwick is associated with family, tradition and timeless experiences.
“We see so many generations enjoying priceless family time at Colmans – parents, children and grandchildren – and it’s always been the same at Fenwick.
“Last year was the first time I got to take my son to see the Christmas window, and it’s moments like that which remain with families forever.
“We want Colmans Fish and Chips to become part of a special Fenwick experience that’s synonymous with growing up in the North East.”
