Law firm Muckle backs Hampshire Trust deals
A finance firm has strengthened its care sector presence with new agreements.
Hampshire Trust Bank has completed deals to help refinance two care/assisted living bases for Torsion Care.
The funding will boost Alderman Lodge, in Brighouse, and Derby’s Albany Lodge.
London-headquartered Hampshire Trust Bank has also completed the redemption of a base in Shipley, on the outskirts of Bradford.
It was supported by law firm Muckle, with advice led by senior associate Claire Naughten and solicitor Georgia Sproat from the Newcastle-based operator’s real estate finance team.
The deals build on a longstanding relationship between the parties, with Muckle sitting on the development finance panel of Hampshire Trust Bank, which provides specialist mortgages, bridging finance, development finance and wholesale finance.
Harry Bhogal, lending director in Hampshire Trust Bank’s development finance team, said: “These complex transactions highlight the robust collaboration and trust between us, Muckle and other advisers.
“Muckle’s dedication, expertise and proactive approach have been instrumental in working through these immensely complex funding arrangements.”
Martin Hutson, Torsion Care director, said: “Muckle’s team ensured a smooth transaction from start to finish.
“The firm's professionalism and attention to detail were key to the successful outcome.”
Claire added: “We are proud to have played a small role in Hampshire Trust Bank’s continued successful expansion.
“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship over the years to come.”
