RWO helps drive development at IAMP

An engineering firm is playing a central role in the development of a Sunderland manufacturing park.

Newcastle-based RWO is providing civil engineering services to Town End Farm Partnership, which is constructing industrial units and other assets at the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP).

Bosses say the site will be “a real game-changer for the North East”.

The firm’s brief includes the provision of drainage and flood risk analysis reports together with indicative drainage calculations to bring forward the development of a series of commercial units, including several industrial properties under construction on the southern development section of the site.

Managing director Ross Oakley said: “IAMP is a real game-changer for the North East, supporting the development of world-class technologies, driving investment and job creation.

“We’re delighted to be involved in the vanguard of the park’s ongoing development and expansion.”

Located near Nissan’s Sunderland plant, IAMP will deliver around one million sq ft of industrial space, including warehouse units and office accommodation, with local officials saying it will generate 8000 jobs and stimulate significant economic growth.
