Energy firms power up with new alliance
An energy services company has partnered with an engineering consultant to enhance commissioning support across the oil and gas and energy transition sectors.
Aberdeen-headquartered THREE60 Energy and COMS Energy, based at Westlakes Science Park in Moor Row, Cumbria, have formed a three-year strategic alliance to provide pre-commissioning, commissioning and completions services.
Bosses say the partnership will strengthen THREE60’s existing engineering and construction capabilities while leveraging COMS Energy’s expertise in highly regulated industries, including nuclear, delivering “unparalleled value” and “an extremely attractive offering” to clients.
They add that the collaboration will aim to address a market gap for reliable commissioning support, offering services both as a standalone solution and as part of an integrated engineering package.
With successful joint projects already completed, the alliance is set to drive international growth for both companies as they look to expand into new sectors.
Alasdair Smith, managing director of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) at THREE60 Energy, said, “This strategic alliance leverages the strengths of both companies, combining COMS Energy’s credibility and heritage with THREE60 Energy’s robust EPCC service line.
“Together, we are poised to address cross-sector commissioning challenges and deliver unparalleled value to our clients.”
Cliff Woodman, chairman of COMS Energy, which is a subsidiary of Cumbria O&M Services Ltd, added: “We are delighted to enter into this strategic alliance at a time of significant growth for both our companies, and we look forward to building on our already successful relationship with THREE60 Energy.
“The combined synergies, and reach back to niche capabilities, bring an extremely attractive offering to the benefit of our clients.”
