Tiffin Sandwiches adds a slice with takeover
A Bradford-based food manufacturer has expanded its UK footprint with the takeover of a Scottish supplier.
Tiffin Sandwiches, one of the UK’s largest independent food-to-go producers, has bought Glasgow-based PJ’s Foods Limited, with bosses saying the deal will bolster Tiffin’s production capacity and help the company serve more customers across Scotland and the North of England.
North East and Yorkshire accountancy and business advisory firm Clive Owen LLP advised Tiffin on the deal, with corporate finance partner Michael Cantwell and tax director Angela Mikola working alongside Martin Frost, corporate partner, and Nicole Waldron, senior solicitor, at Andrew Jackson Solicitors LLP.
Mark Salisbury, Tiffin Sandwiches’ director, said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of PJ’s Foods Limited.
“This strategic move adds to our current facilities in England and Wales and strengthens our commitment to delivering quality products throughout the UK.
“We are delighted with the advice and support we received from Clive Owen LLP and Andrew Jackson Solicitors, who moved at pace to enable us to realise this acquisition.”
Michael added: “We are delighted to have helped facilitate this successful acquisition and support one of our longstanding clients during its latest phase of development and growth.
“There are significant operational synergies to be gained from this strategic purchase, further solidifying Tiffin Sandwiches’ position as one of the UK’s largest and leading food-to-go manufacturers.
“It was an exciting deal to have been a part of, which is a testament to the collaborative expertise and efforts of all professionals involved.”
