Farleys Solicitors eyeing growth after takeover
A law firm has expanded with a takeover.
Farleys Solicitors has bought Alker Ball Healds Solicitors.
Bosses say the deal will “unlock many opportunities” and create new jobs.
Based in Manchester, Preston, Blackburn, Padiham and Rawtenstall, near Accrington, Farleys provides private and commercial law services.
Wigan-based Alker Ball Healds Solicitors is known for support across areas including commercial litigation, residential property, personal injury and wills and probate.
All 32 Alker Ball Healds Solicitors staff have remained with the business following the deal.

“This will unlock many more opportunities as we look to build upon the existing well-known brand, quality service and strong client base associated with the Alker Ball Healds Solicitors name.
“We also look forward to building the team through recruitment.”
Keith Whitehead, Alker Ball Healds Solicitors’ joint managing director, added: “We have built a fantastic team of skilled and trusted lawyers, and want to continue that growth.
“With access to a wider range of services and resources, and the well-recognised brand of Farleys, we look forward to growing our professional family.”
