GoCardless appoints chief product officer

GoCardless, the bank payment company, has appointed Shaun Puckrin as chief product officer to lead the company’s product teams and drive its innovation agenda. 

Shaun joins from Checkout.com, where he was senior vice president of product, and will focus on developing new payment flows, enhancing open banking capabilities and improving products to help merchants manage payments on GoCardless’ platform.

He brings extensive experience in product leadership, having previously served as chief product officer at GPS (now Thredd) and held leadership roles at Worldpay and Nested. 

Shaun’s expertise spans payments and financial technology, with a track record of launching new products and driving global expansion across regions including Japan, the US and MENA.

He said: “Account-to-account payments are the driving force behind reducing complexity, cost and friction in the payment process. 

“I look forward to building on GoCardless’ success to build a new generation of payment solutions that will help ease the challenges of collecting and sending payments and meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
