Freeths announces 81 promotions in 2025
Law firm Freeths has announced 81 promotions in 2025, including nine new partners, across its 13 offices.
Notable promotions include Jade Flint and Rachel Gaffney in Nottingham, corporate lawyer Natalie Drought and tax expert Matthew Switzer in Milton Keynes, and M&A expert Mohammed Abbas, in Birmingham.
In Manchester, Matthew Kelly was recognised for his leadership in restructuring and insolvency, while Lisa Mark-Bell in Oxford was promoted for her work with high-net-worth clients.
Meanwhile, Toby Pochron and Ciaran Dearden were promoted in Sheffield for their excellence in employment and commercial dispute resolution.
These promotions follow a strong year for Freeths, with revenue exceeding £165 million for the financial year ending March 31, 2025.
Karl Jansen, national managing partner of Freeths, said: “I’m delighted to announce the promotions of over 80 of our most talented people across the firm’s offices and service lines – their contributions and dedication to Freeths and our clients are rightly being recognised and I hope they are as proud of this achievement as we are to be able to reward their endeavours.
“I wish them every success in their new roles, as they help shape and drive the future of the firm.”
