Babucho expands with unique Gosforth venue
A popular New York-style brasserie has opened its second location in Gosforth, Newcastle, with legal support from Mincoffs Solicitors.
Babucho Gosforth, located in a converted United Reformed Church on Gosforth’s bustling high street, previously home to Barluga, has been transformed into a food-oriented venue.
Mincoffs Solicitors played a vital role in securing the lease, with associate solicitor Keith Ravenhill assisting with real estate matters.
Meanwhile, licensing and gaming partner Matt Foster worked closely with Robby Scott, managing director at Babucho, as well as Peter Hodgson, managing director at Dakota House of Design, to navigate the necessary approvals and allow for the addition of booth seating and private dining rooms.
Robby said: “We have worked with Mincoffs since our inception and they not only have a deep understanding of the leisure sector, but also of our individual business.
“Their advice was invaluable and we look forward to working with them as we continue with our future growth plans.”
Mincoffs has supported Babucho for more than ten years, aiding in the development of the brasserie’s original Quayside site, in Newcastle.
Matt added: “The former church is an amazing venue with plenty of character and we were delighted to work with Robby to help bring Babucho in Gosforth to realisation.
“We have been involved in this project since the start and it is fantastic to see the team’s hard work pay off with the restaurant open and busy with customers.
“Babucho is a brilliant addition to Gosforth and we wish them all the best in the future.”
