bdht appoints new head of asset management
Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) has strengthened its asset management and compliance team with the appointment of Steve Phillips as head of asset management and development.
Steve joins from Trident Housing Association, where he served as decarbonisation project manager and later head of assets and compliance.
With over two decades in social housing, Steve is dedicated to ensuring residents feel safe in their homes and that risks are managed swiftly and in line with current regulations.
He said: “From an assets perspective, my priority is to make sure customers are warm and comfortable in their home and that their property is well-maintained.
“Continuous investment is central to making this happen – it is the catalyst for helping deliver wider benefits, such as reduced energy costs, as well as protecting people’s overall health and wellbeing.
“Health and safety compliance is my other core focus; since Grenfell, it has, quite understandably, become the biggest pressure point within social housing.
“The regulatory landscape and requirements are continuously changing – it’s for me and my team to make sure our buildings are up to standard, that we deliver on best practice and continue to improve.”
