ALT Legal grows ‘disruptive’ team

Wetherby-based ALT Legal has welcomed two new senior hires as it continues to shake up the legal sector with its subscription-led model.

Lisa Hyndman, formerly of Eversheds, joins as head of commercial property, while Caroline Broad takes up the newly created role of operations and business development manager.

The appointments follow 75 per cent year-on-year growth in Q1.

Lisa said: “I was really attracted to ALT Legal’s ethos and values.

“It has a refreshing approach to law and it is great to be part of something new.

“The team have a forward-thinking approach using technology and subscription fee models.

“They apply the law in a way that clients need, in a fun and modern way.”

Caroline added: “It’s exciting to join a firm with a subscription model that gives breathing space to build genuine client relationships, so we can work with clients to help grow their business without them worrying about unexpected bills.

“We can work deeply on client work, not just on legal aspects, but helping with succession planning and really getting immersed into a client’s world.”

Founded in 2021, ALT Legal now supports more than 500 clients with its practical, no-drama legal advice.

Anna Ashford, head of ALT Legal: “The growth of the staff team and our subscription model reflects our desire to prioritise putting skilled, warm, approachable human beings at the forefront of our offer.

“Although we use tech to drive efficiency, important human interactions, discussions, and problem solving are at the heart of what our clients value.”

Rob Ashall, founder of ALT Legal, added: “Our expert staff, as proven by the recent hires of Caroline and Lisa, are first rate.

“We’re driven by a mission and belief that law is a tool to help businesses and not a necessary evil that baffles and delays business operations.

“Our clients love that we communicate in plain English.

“It’s not rocket science, but there has been a huge gap in the market for our approach, proven by our growing success as a law firm.”
