Packaging firm seals £3.2 million equipment boost
A sixth-generation packaging maker says it is set to wrap up further market growth after a £3.2 million equipment outlay.
Roberts Mart has bought laminating, bag and automatic labelling apparatus.
The Leeds-based firm has also agreed a deal to add a film extruder to its shopfloor early next year.
Bosses say the machinery will support the 1852-founded company’s growth across markets that include the food and drink sector.
The moves come after the company last year announced a deal with Pronova Packaging Systems.
Ben Roberts, marketing director at Roberts Mart, which supplies packaging to brands across the UK and Europe, said: “Staying ahead of the competition and investing in the future is a fundamental part of our business strategy.
“These significant investments demonstrate our commitment to developing and offering customers a wide range of packaging solutions that fit budget and sustainability goals.”
