Gateley makes raft of promotions at Birmingham headquarters
Professional services group Gateley has announced 18 promotions at its Birmingham headquarters, with commercial dispute resolution lawyer Kate Canning appointed as partner.
Four team members have been promoted to legal director, including Jo Dugdale and David Williams, in tax; Jonathan Cree, in residential development; and Emma Styles, in construction.
Harriet Eden, also in residential development, becomes legal director PSL.
New senior associates include tax lawyer Tammi Broad, real estate lawyer Daniel Packer, and regulatory and business defence specialist Sadie Rice.
Eight lawyers have been promoted to associate, spanning corporate, construction, commercial dispute resolution and residential development.
Separately, Gateley Hamer has appointed Ben Caldwell as director.
A chartered surveyor with over 14 years of experience, Ben has worked extensively in the utilities sector, advising many of the UK’s top housing developers.
The Birmingham promotions are part of 73 made across Gateley this year, including nine new partners firm-wide.
Rebecca Sherwin, partner and Birmingham office head, said: “For more than 200 years, Birmingham has been the home of Gateley and we are proud to have such fantastic talent from the region as part of our team.
“These promotions are testament to the hard work and exceptional results our people produce to ensure we are continually exceeding our clients’ expectations.
“To have promotions across so many different specialisms, and within our consultancy businesses, highlights not only the breadth of services we can offer to clients, but also the varied expertise we have within the group.
“The development of our people is incredibly important and we look forward to supporting them as they continue their careers with Gateley.”
