Gordons retains all September trainees
Leeds-headquartered law firm Gordons will retain all trainee solicitors qualifying this September, with each moving into a permanent role within their chosen specialism.
Abbie Little will join the firm’s employment team, having gained experience across contentious and advisory work during her training.
Daniel Callaghan is set to enter the corporate team, where he will support clients on transactions, restructures and governance.
Jonathan Wu will join the commercial property team.
He began his career with Gordons as a paralegal and has developed particular strengths in landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and development work during his training contract.
Tosif Bashir, who also started at Gordons as a paralegal, will take up a position in the commercial contracts team.
All four trainees have spent at least two years with the firm and will continue to be mentored and developed professionally by senior colleagues.
Amy Pierechod, Gordons’ training principal and corporate partner, said: “The market for attracting and retaining legal talent is a highly competitive one.
“Having all of our trainees commit their immediate future to Gordons speaks volumes about their belief in our distinct culture and the opportunities we can offer them.
“Abbie, Daniel, Jonathan and Tosif have already proven themselves to have the engaging natures and legal capabilities required to make them highly valued by clients and colleagues alike.
“From September, we will see them begin their careers as newly qualified solicitors which is something both they and the firm will be very proud of.”
