Dalton Park achieves full occupancy milestone
A County Durham shopping destination has reached a milestone after more than two decades.
Dalton Park is now fully let for the first time since opening in 2003.
The achievement follows a focused leasing strategy by asset manager Global Mutual, who took occupancy from 87.3 per cent in 2022 to full occupancy today.
Bosses say a mix of premium and high street brands, including Rituals, Tommy Hilfiger and White Stuff, have helped drive a 20 per cent increase in overall sales between December 2022 and December 2024.
The final unit to be filled will be CafeBar eighteen38, further boosting the park's growing food and drink offer.
Nicky Lovell, head of outlets and retail business development at Global Mutual, said: “Reaching 100 per cent occupancy is a significant milestone and a clear reflection of our long-term vision for Dalton Park.
“Since acquiring the centre, we’ve focused on building a high-performing, resilient retail environment by attracting brands that align with our shoppers and deliver strong results for tenants.
“We remain committed to investing in both placemaking and performance to ensure Dalton Park continues to thrive as a leading destination for shoppers and retailers alike.
“The outlet is well positioned for future growth.”
