Property litigation firm Hägen Wolf launches in Newcastle
Leading property litigation law firm Hägen Wolf has expanded into Newcastle as part of an ambition to strengthen its footprint across key UK markets.
Hägen Wolf Newcastle will be led by the firm’s newest partner Sharon Mathieson, who has taken up space at Cubo in Bank House, one of the city’s most sought-after business destinations.
Formerly the head of property litigation at a large regional firm, Sharon boasts a formidable twenty years of legal experience, operating purely in the property disputes space. She is set to play a significant role in the leadership and continued growth of Hägen Wolf, as the firm directs its attention towards the growth opportunities in North East England.
On Sharon’s appointment, Hägen Wolf managing partner Matt Pugh said: “As an alumnus of its university, I know Newcastle is an important business hub in the North East. The city has a reputation for both historic and contemporary property, providing significant commercial opportunity to anyone operating in the real estate market.
“I am really excited by Sharon’s appointment, and our new office location at Bank House. The leadership that Sharon will provide for our firm in the region demonstrates our commitment to investing in, and growing with, this brilliant, vibrant city.”
Specialising in contentious property issues and disputes, Hägen Wolf has built a reputation for finding creative and effective solutions to the most challenging of situations.
The firm’s Newcastle office will bring unique expertise to what is already a highly diverse legal offering across the city, with global firms and local boutiques supporting clients in every sector of the region’s fast-growing economy.
Sharon Mathieson said: “I’m over the moon to join Hägen Wolf, a rapidly growing boutique firm, with a strong and rapidly growing reputation for property litigation. We’ve already been warmly received by the North East business community, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in.”
Hägen Wolf is working with Invest Newcastle to build its network across the city and develop relationships with the regional business community.
Cllr Dan Greenhough, Cabinet Member for Economy, Jobs and Skills, Newcastle City Council, said: “As we bring forward ambitious plans for driving regeneration and placemaking in Newcastle, it is fair to say that the local property market is booming, providing ample opportunities for professional services providers to thrive.
“We’re delighted to welcome Hägen Wolf to our city, and we know that with a multi-billion-pound development pipeline of projects under construction, there will be plenty of opportunities for them to build out their Newcastle presence.
“We look forward to working with Sharon and the team to make their new office a soaring success.”
