Gordons helps cement global merger
A Yorkshire law firm has helped bring together two construction tech platforms in an international merger.
Leeds-headquartered Gordons advised London software provider C-Link on its merger with Australian tender platform E1.
The deal creates the UK’s only fully connected procurement platform for the construction industry.
Founded in 2015, C-Link supports professionals with subcontractor sourcing, tender automation and contract management, while E1’s tools help contractors manage the tender process from start to finish.
Bosses say the newly merged platform combines pre- and post-contract procurement tools in one integrated system, aimed at improving efficiency and profitability across construction projects.
Paul Heming, co-founder and chief executive of C-Link, said: “This merger represents far more than a deal – it’s the coming together of two companies that share a deep understanding of the challenges faced by pre-construction and commercial teams in construction.
“C-Link and E1 have each built specialist tools focused on different stages of the procurement process.
“Together, we now seek to offer a connected solution that spans everything from estimate, through tender creation to contract execution – all built for the quantity surveyor and estimator.
“We’re hugely excited about the future and confident that, with E1, we can bring real change to the way construction procurement is done.”
Gordons’ corporate partner Amy Pierechod led the team advising C-Link’s founders on the deal.
She added: “C-Link have been a client of the firm throughout their impressive growth journey and this merger with E1 represents an exciting new chapter in the company’s journey.
“It was great to have advised on this deal which will go a long way to transform complex contractor management and quantity surveying for construction projects.”
